Transfer fees and moving accounts

We have been a customer of ADP 401k for several years. To set up our account we had to pay $1500. We pay over $170 a month for them to administer. We have 2 people in the plan. We changed payroll companies and went to transfer the program and were told we have a $1500 transfer fee for ALL the paperwork they have to do - really??? Buyers beware. DO NOT choose a 401k for a small business with ADP unless you have the sales team go over every single rule with you upfront. There is no hands on support. The most they do is to send you your 5500 for review and to mail you a packet. Participants get a quarterly statement. It's an unreasonable amount of money for a small business for what you actually get and a penalty on the backend if you change your mind. Not worth it!!

We had the same issue. It was ridiculous.

The rate for the transfer fee almost doubled once complete.

I contacted a local HR outsourcing company called CPEhr and spoke with Lacey Hodges lhodges@***.com. Since then it has been a dream. I actually call and get a live person, not just a live person, but the same person every time no matter what time.

Any report needed, they provide in hours. ADP is not worth what is paid.

Scammer

They are out to get your money. I totally agree with the other reviewers. I had 2 doctor's visits for my daughter. We submitted the receipts. Both got denied. Why? Because they can't tell what kind of the charge it was. Does it matter? My receipt is from the doctor's office with office letter head. The date of service, my daughter's name, birthday, and the reason for visit - Office visit - 99213 . Hello, it's a legit receipt. But they denied it. They said in order to get my $25 copay back, the receipt has to say "co-pay" on it. It also needs to have the stamp and sign by my doctor. That's just ridiculous.

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE FROM DAY ONE

I had an account consisting of payroll and Flexible Spending for parking through my employer. I was leaving that employer in May 2014 and still had a significant balance in my Flexible Spending account. They told me that I could only withdrawal approximately $250 a month (per IRS) from the Flexible Spending Account, but I had over $600 in the account. The catch was that I only had a receipt for $300. This all came about because I had taken a leave of absent the previous fall so there was 2 months that I did not have to pay for parking, but that was stilling being deposited in that account from my pay check. At that point, they told me that I would have until January of 2015 to submit receipts to claim the money or I would forfeit the remaining balance. As wrong as that is, considering everything in that Flexible Spending Account was my money I figured with the miscellaneous parking I would have throughout the year that I would be able to recover some if not most of it. Now 3 months later I have parking receipts that I was trying to submit and could not gain access to my online account. Which by the way was nothing new. So I called customer service and they tell me that when I left my previous employer that I was offered COBRA and by enrolling in the COBRA plan I would have access to the Flexible Spending Account. The other side of that is that I have insurance so why would I pay the huge fees for COBRA to just get access to the other accounts. That does not make any sense. So in a nut shell, I have probably lost approximately $400 to $500 dollars. Which only leaves one question "Who should I call and congratulate for the bonus or raise that they received with my money?" because you know that money will not sit in limbo forever. Absolutely one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. So my advice to anyone that see the name ADP regarding Flexible Spending type account is run for the hills or except to take a loss.

Nothing they can do but upgrade their website. The delay of me being able to access my account cost me a loan.
ADP forced us to change to their "better" RUN payroll from the EasyPay we have used for over 15 years without problems. This new one was a disaster. They screwed up everything and after more than 3 hours on the telephone, mainly on hold, they do not know how to fix it...

TOO FRUSTRATING TO NAVIGATE ,BIGGEST WASTE OUR COMPANY HAS SPENT

every month we need to pull an employee from another dept just to reset passwords because our employees find it to frustrating to navigate this site. its impossible to reset your password ,i keep getting asked whats my nephews first name for a security question. i dont have a nephew. but it never gets corrected . when you think you can reset your password it times out . this site is extremely non user friendly. we are dropping them as of the first of the year and advise everyone to by pass this service its has been nothiong but major problem after major problem and all seem to trace back to employees unable to access and navigate their records

Mishandled State Unemployment Taxes

I would have to agree that Customer Service at ADP is really, really bad. After ADP deducted almost $1,000 from my bank account and sent to the state erroneously, here I am almost nine months later trying to get the money back. Spent the first three months trying to find somebody to work on it, and now another five months "working" with someone specifically assigned to this case by ADP. They seem to be hinging my refund on whether the state refunds the money back to them, when, as their mistake, I should get my money back right away and ADP should apply to the state for the refund- or I can assign it to them. Have been with ADP for nearly a decade and have seen their level of service drop off dramatically. Would not recommend their service to others...unfortunately, there is only really Paychex, and Intuit (Quickbooks) out there. Don't really trust my local accountant to do this. Will probably check out Intuit...as soon as I get my money back!

System simply does not work

My company called adp w me on speaker. I can not get the service I am am supposed to. Was given case number over a week ago w no results and they won't respond to feedback. They can't produce and don't care enough to even answer complaints . I am talking about basic services. It just does not work. A rep took all info over phone and created a case number but nothing happened. For a company not follow up on problems they create show they could care less about the customer. They collect the money but the service ends there.

I contacted a friend who went to Tulane and has an HR outsourcing company called CPEhr and spoke with Lacey Hodges (lhodges@***.com). Since then it has been a dream. I actually call and get a live person, not just a live person, but the same person every time no matter what time. I have access to the President of the company named Faith as well.

Any report needed, they provide in hours. Any issue I have it is resolved on the spot ADP is not worth what is paid.

Direct Deposit Review

Adp/money network..I was given this card by employer for direct deposit of my paycheck, which guarantees that when you put money on check you can cash at walmart...total lie, walmart system refused to to cash, when I called Monrynetwork, they insisted check was good it wasn't! I had to write void on check, fax to them,And THEY Would Put Back On Adp card, Been 4 Days AND Still Have NOT Recieved My Money back, NOW I Late Fee For rent, No Food Or Gas Money, THIS System Is A Total Rip off

Flex Spending Horror Story

I have submitted my claim within the time set by my employer, but because my employer is not renewing their contract with ADP they are withholding my funds the largest amount of time I guess allowed. Every representative that I spoke to states "well your company has cancelled their contract for 2014". If you can understand the broken english you just hear that same old same old... oh give us 3-5 days for resolution. It has been 2+ weeks. Give me my money! After speaking with my HR person, this is the exact reason our VERY large company has canceled services with ADP flex spending.

Closed account twice

Adp canceled both cards we have without notifying us in December. When we called they said it was because of the Target breach. They said one card was not affected and was still good, that was a lie, went to use it later with no luck. Called them back and they opened it for 24 hours ago we could get our money. Went to use it today february 25 no luck, called and they said because we didn't respond to a letter they say they sent about updating our phone number they closed the account completely. They said they called, emailed and sent a letter, neither my wife or myself received anything from Adp. Now they are saying it could take 7 days to closer the account and another 7 days to receive a check for what money we had in our account. What a joke of a company, customer service sucks and is no help. So now we have to wait to get our money and pay our bills late. Thanks Adp!

Out of twelve calls i have made to ADP, ten have been a nightmare

I have power of attorney for my 97 year old father. ADP has the power of attorney document. I, as well as my father's bank manager, have dealt with ADP on twelve occasions over issues with automatic payments (problem is on ADP side). Except on two ocassions, ADP customer service personnel have been consistently rude, unhelpful, adamant in refusing to even simply giving me the address where I am supposed to send the payments so that I could pay my father's insurance so they would not cancel it. I, or the bank manager, have never, ever dealt with such difficult, unprofessional and rude people in our entire careers. It looks as though ADP really wants my father to miss payments so they can drop my father and mother, both in their 90's, and save money. I just want to make the payments and they won't let me because they refuse to give me such simple a thing as their address. My frustration with them knows no limits because their arrogance and disregard for the customer is the worst I have ever experienced.
