Fee charged without notice

In 2011, we began w/ADP Payroll & Retirement services- I agreed through Internet conversation to pay $130/mo to HR dept. When I attempted to notify them of ending admin in Dec. 2013, they advised me I agreed to $1500 termination fee. They could not support that through any signed agreement from me & sent me an app for Small Market Plan I supposedly knew of & agreed to. There were check marks on it, not mine,AND fees for 10 participants when I KNEW I began w/only 5 and would always be only 5. Fradulent representation of something I supposedly did- And $600+ overcharge for 5 additional 401K people NEVER on it-

We had the same issue. It was ridiculous.

The rate for the transfer/termination fee almost doubled once complete.

I contacted a local HR outsourcing company called CPEhr and spoke with Lacey Hodges lhodges@***.com. Since then it has been a dream. I actually call and get a live person, not just a live person, but the same person every time no matter what time.

Any report needed, they provide in hours. ADP is not worth what is paid.

Technician

Payroll was supposed pulled from our employers account, yet nothing has posted to us employees 3 days since our "pay date." Especially since our employer was setting up everything with ADP, they had chosen to wait to pay us until it went through these guys - it's now been over a month since I've been paid, ADP has NO way for employees to contact them, and they are giving our employer (small business) the run around and he doesn't have all day to stay on the phone chasing their outsourced customer service! The customer service is horrible, the fact that they've taken his money but haven't bothered dispensing it (way for them to garner some extra interest income) and leave no way for anyone to reach them leaves me to believe everything bad I've been reading about them online. If you work for a small business, especially a start up, and rely on getting paid, make sure they do NOT use ADP!!!

Backround Check wroing records

ADP ran a back round check on my husband attached our sons re cord to his name and has destroyed many employment opportunities for him. We have retained a lawyer. I personally think companies should go with the tried and true and do a fingerprint check not some low class company who does not do their job and cross reference things like age and social security numbers. If any one else has had trouble with ADP and would like to join in a class action lawsuit let us know. This is outrageous on all levels and has destroyed my husband in the field of telecommunications and they refuse to correct the records immediately ...the old it will take 7 to 10 tens ***.

I switched from ADP and Paychex

I was with ADP for 1 year and Paychex for 6 months, I can honestly say they have the worst service ever. I recently changed our Payroll service provider to a small company name R.P.S. of Tampa, Inc and I wish I would have done this earlier. They have outstanding service and you always talk to a live person. If anybody is looking for outstanding and quality service please check out this company. I promise I will never use ADP or Paychex again. Most business owns become complacent and think that ADP and Paychex is the only payroll companies in the world you're wrong. Smaller payroll companies are more dedicated to working hard for their clients.

Sorry, but this review was no help whatsoever. You didn't ever say WHY you hate ADP, just that you hate them & talked up R.P.S...maybe you could add details to let us know where the problems arose?

Money taken my from bank illegally has not been returned

Horrible last two months with ADP! They ran unapproved payrolls took tax money (hundreds) out of my account then wouldn't refund for days happened a second time when assured it wouldn't be ran again until I called in. But it did two weeks later. Returned money in a day after really complaining and insisting. Charged service fees on top of this called them back told me it would be credited in 5-10 business days. Had to keep calling back still have not seen my money it's been 12 days notified me that it's still processing and i will get half of it back at the end of the week. I should have let my bank account go negative and made them pay bank fees! but I keep raking the money up so I can cover the checks. Never again...rip offs

That sounds awful! I work for a payroll processing company that has unparallelled customer support.

Each client has a designated customer service person to talk to, not just an 800 number!

Contact me and we might be able to help with your payroll! colleen.bement@***.com

Worst customer service ever

I tried to get some information from them and i got no where. i called phone number and got hung up on every extension i tried without getting a representative. Finally i got a hold of someone after pressing sales option and i got treated like garbage when i asked a simple question about setting up direct deposit on there website. What kind of company has people working that don't know anything about there services. End result I got no where except being pissed. Thanks Karen!! I can tell you that if this was my company all my employees would be trained and knowledgble and not a bunch of idiots who have no clue what is going on and you would be able to get a hold of a representstive at the phone number provided not an automated message lady that gets you know where.

ADP Inconsistent and Incorrect Claims Processing!

I am forced to use ADP Flex Direct for my Health Spending account through my employer. I recently submitted two almost identical claims for the same provider, same service provided, but different dates of service. I provided the SAME documentation on each claim. Yet, they PAID one claim but DENIED the other. For no reason! Also, when I've used my ADP Debit Card for ELIGIBLE purchases, they always request receipts. They are quick to request receipts within a very short period of time, yet don't process claims quite as quickly! Also, when I have been unable to obtain verification for a claim due to a medical providers' delay in getting me the paperwork, ADP has deactivated my debit card, forcing me to pay out of pocket for prescriptions and then file more paper claims that they demand documentation for. My biggest problem with them is not only POOR, UNFAIR and INCONSISTENT claims processing methods, but their website clearly states that if claims cannot be verified, then the customer should simply submit additional claims to cover the amount that cannot be verified. I did that, but instead of correctly processing that to offset what could not be verified, they went ahead and reimbursed me. No matter what, they always deactivate my card. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ALL CUSTOMERS OF ADP TO NOT USE THE HEALTH SPENDING DEBIT CARD WHATSOEVER; IT WILL ONLY CAUSE GRIEF, COUNTLESS HEADACHES AND MANY HOURS SPENT CHASING AND SUBMITTING PAPERWORK. I would recommend paying for everything out of pocket and inundating this company with so much verification paperwork that they get sick of it!

Totally agree. I find ADP very frustrating and not user friendly.

Had a different processing company before and was much much easier and better to use.

ADP is just a royal pain from my experience with them so far.

Nightmare service

The customer service is non-existent and definitely not located in the U.S. These people claimed to have made a clerical error and deducted my payroll from someone else's account (really?) and wanted me to pay them over $10K. I showed them they were in error and my payroll had come out of my account, but instead of looking at the proof, they just suddenly suspended my payroll and my employees didn't get paid. When my attorney and I called them to resolve the matter, they hung up on us. This is the most unprofessional company I've ever encountered. They have made several mistakes with my account. I believe this company is extremely dishonest and criminal in their actions. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ADP. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

ADP is the worse and needs to be investigated!

I signed up for the Health Flexible Spending account of $5,000.00. When I went to leave my job, I called ADP and was told verbally and in a written email that the money I contributed would be available until 3/31/2013. One month after I ended employment I went to use my card and it was denied. I have a credited balance that I paid in of over $3,000.00. When I called them, they said too bad and hung up. There has got to be a way to file a complaint against them especially since I have written email confirming what they told me.

ADP looses payments on purpose

I have had ADP COBRA dental. ADP kept loosing my payment. That would be easy fix since I have proofs of all my payments. ADP keeps loosing all the proofs of all my payments. I have faxed/emaled the proofs of payments four (4) times to a specific person - Judy, whom I was directed to. I faxed but was not allowed to call Judy and speak to her. I am convinced that "Judy" never existed. It is obvious that this organization is fraudulent and steals money. I have spoken to number of representatives, each of them telling me completely different information about my payments, and every time a different payment was lost. Most of them were obviously making information up as they either had no clue or were covering up the fraud. Even though there is very little money involved, I am still planning on filing complaint with Better Business Bureau and the state of Nevada where I currently live. I suggest that everyone does the same in his/her state, so we can together put the thiefs where they belong.

Holding over $1000 Hostage for legitimate expenses

Written by MyRocky on April 24, 2012 from arlington, virginia, US We had a different Flex fund last year and the company my husband works for switched to Flex Direct - ADP. They are horrible. My youngest daughter is disabled and has a service dog. They asked for no documentation about "dog food" and paid it without a problem as they should have for a service animal. I also submit my dependend care receipts under medical because my daughter is disabled (and according to IRS regulation 502) that is OK and spelled out clearly. So I submitted three dependent care claims and they paid them. Then I submitted 2 more dependent care claims and they have been denied over and over. Before we signed with this new Flex fund we asked about dependent care for our daughter - and were told exactly what the IRS regulations state - that if you have child that is disabled, you can deduct (or use flexible spending) under either (dependent or medical). Now these idiots are withholding over $1000 of our money because they want a letter of medical necessity -- for what - child care!!!! We depend on this money as my daughter has a lot of special needs. According to what I have read on the IRS website - it is illegal to withhold our money for legitimate expenses. They pay for dog food but not dependent care -- you can't have a service animal unless you have an ADA recognized disability - so they know she is disabled. These people are ignorant and rude.

IRS regulations require the note of medical necessity, not ADP.

I reread it... while I stick by my comment of JB's response not being mature, it wasn't ADP's fault.

This site won't let me delete my previous comment. The company was at fault in that case and should have compensated their employee back to make good on their failed promise of providing the correct amount of pay for the service that they were provided from the employee.

A brand new FSA Scam

Last year ADP refused a (perfectly legitimate) payment. TODAY, they're telling me that same charge was an OVERPAYMENT and they want to be reimbursed for something they didn't pay for in the first place They did manage to keep fifteen dollars of my money last year by putting a bogus hold on my account at the last minute. So far, this year, they've put up one stumbling block after another - and have managed to refuse every single claim I've made. You just gotta love such dedication to Pure Evil.
