Adp - Payroll Services Review from Boston, Massachusetts

I recently started as the Head of HR with a new company who recently transitioned to ADP for payroll and 401(k). The customer service is uninformed and unable to assis when you call. Within 2 weeks they have taxes bonuses at the incorrect rates below the federal tax requirement, processed live checks that should have been direct deposit and I have tallied 17 hours of my first 3 weeks of my new job on the phone with their customer service to address very basic payroll and 401(k) issues. Horrendous experience. I can't believe they charge customers a penny. I will make it my personal mission to never partner with ADP again.

ADP Made the Mistake and they tell us it will be 8 weeks for new W-2's

ADP failed to pick up one of our pay periods when producing our W-2's and when we have notified them of the error (before the end of January) they tell us they have so many W-2's to produce for other clients that it will take 8 weeks to reproduce. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ADP TO ANOTHER COMPANY AND I FEEL TERRIBLE THAT I GOT MY COMPANY INVOLVED WITH THEM. THEY DON'T KNOW THE FIRST THING ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

ADP steals your money

ADP does nothing but steal your money. I submitted transit expenses all year in 2015. I tried to be "nice" and submitted them by month. Looks like I missed a month for May 2015. Instead I should have submitted each one with January 1 of that year up until the current date I was submitting. To top it off, I had switched jobs so I had to go the manual faxing route. Bottom line is this: Who puts money in a pre-tax transit account without intending to get that money out? That's not even logical.

Stole my money

ADP runs my employer's health savings and dependent care accounts. They will not give me MY MONEY despite my submitting clear and documented claims of qualified expenses. I have made numerous attempts to contact them and they will not answer calls or return emails. The money is mine. I earned it. I have worked with Conexis for years and have had no trouble getting reimbursed, but ADP seems intent on keeping money that does not belong to them and making it impossible for legitimate owners to get it back.

ADP SUCKS!

My Company has recently moved to ADP.. I am in the goal setting now, there is no way to save in process work, so if somebody comes in to talk with you, the system times out and you need to begin again, if you click done, and your not done, it still goes to your superior. You can not view / edit your goal again once clicked done. Then you need to go ask your boss to reject it. I have no idea how somebody can develop such a *** system.. and I have no idea why my company choose this system.

ADP service is non-existent!!!

After waiting to speak to someone for 55 minutes, my call was dropped!! After calling back and waiting an additional 38 minutes just to talk to someone who then puts me on hold for another 18 minutes!! Then they tell me they cannot produce a simple 401k Census report because our service with them began in mid year. They know they have all the data in their database, but they cannot think outside the box deep enough to write a custom report pulling the data into a report. I'll have to take data actual data that ADP produced and create it myself. I would never recommend ADP. They are not the same ADP that existed 4 years ago.

My employer uses adp for paying us employees I put in for direct deposit 4 months ago and still is not done changed deductions 2 months ago not done either adp I'm still almost 5 months later waiting for my direct deposit are u kidding me and they have no numbers for me to personaly call to straighten anything out

I will never use a flex spending account again

I had a charge in June 2015 and of course like any transaction you do with your flex spending card they will require an itemized receipt. I immediately provided an itemized receipt and a note from my dentist on letterhead stating why what I purchased was medically necessary. However, Here it is practically NOVEMBER and after numerous phone calls, numerous documents being uploaded, and numerous emails I still have no resolution. I absolutely hate this FSA plan and will not sign up for it EVER again. I have a child and I need the funds that are left in there for her medical care. Does ADP care about that? OF COURSE NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE CONTROLLED BY THE GOVERNMENT. I spoke to someone by the name of Sam (even though I highly doubt thats his real name considering he spoke hardly any english) and he even told me I was all set and gave me reference number 3-90********. Yet three weeks later I get an email stating I need to upload an itemized receipt and something from my dentist stating why this was purchased. ARE YOU KIDDING ME........never again my money is my money and the government will never get another penny through a twisted sick plan like this one. I do not have the time to keep uploading the same documents over and over just because other people are too lazy to do their job. They even requested an itemized receipt from a HOSPITAL like yeah really i was there just to hang out nothing medically related???? are you fricking serious. this is such a joke and i could keep going, but i will save it for the phone call i am making monday, they will be mailing me a check for everything I contributed from my payroll. And i will kindly tell them to go f themselves. SO DONE.

All-time biggest time waster

Just spent over an hour on the phone with ADP customer service, only to be right back where I started - -actually worse off than when I started. I had received an email saying that a certain usage of the card WAS "validated" & now turns out that it is NOT. It even took the customer service guy 1/2 hour to figure it all out. This is the most confusing, time-wasting, unhelpful & money-losing proposition EVER & We will never again entrust a penny from a paycheck to these wretches!

ADP have messed our insurance..taking too much money out for that Flex spending card and will not lower the deduction after many phone calls and requests...

My husband had to have the Kidney Foundation pay for his Cobra insurance because when he started his new job..the enrollment with ADP passed...we recently applied in September and ADP failed to email us the most important form..leaving us with no insurance for the month of september...I filled all forms out to have Medical,dental and vision for Oct. and they never gave us Dental..never mailed insurance cards until three weeks..have not received Flex spending card and are taking $1,200 from my husbands paycheck....We want the Flex card amount lowered and they refuse...we have not used this insurance as of yet....

We've been with ADP for our health care reimbursement account as a company (approximately 100 employees) for quite a few years, and I've always been happy with their service. I would get reimbursement within a couple of days, and a claim would be cleared within a week if I was requested to send additional information.

Now it's like it's their money, and they refuse to pay almost anything out of the ordinary (such as Walgreens, etc.). I've had to spend numerous hours on the phone with them this year to get a couple of small claims (under $50) approved even after I've sent in what they asked for. I don't know what has changed with ADP, but they're absolutely awful now.

I talked to our HR person, and he's fed up with them as well. I won't sign up for the HCRA again.

ADP SUCKS

Most of their "customer service reps" cannot speak English enough to understand them. The other half transfer you to another department because they are not the one you are needing. Your regular rep never calls you back when you have issues. The developers are just as bad. When you use developers from non American companies you cheat your clients. Issues still linger from January 2015 with no resolve to any of them. I call and report the case number and ask why nothing has been followed up on and I am told someone will call me back. It is not DECEMBER and still nothing. I will NEVER use ADP and their "Ambassador" program is a HUGE joke. DO you really think I am going to ask someone to use ADP when I have this many issues?

I agree. I have been trying to submit cobra election for 2 days.

When I hit submit, it says website is not working. ADP says it's my computer.

I've tried multiple browser, clearing cache, apple, pc, nothing worked. They just suck.

Old bill

Received a call from ADP about an outstanding balance that our company which has been closed for past two years had with ADP. No one ever billed us but we do owe them $83. After telling them I would send the $83 if they would provide a mailing address the ADP REP goes on to say that if I don't pay the bill I would be sent to Collections. I had already admitted that I owed them the amount and would pay SO WHY DO I NEED TO BE THREATEN WITH COLLECTIONS. Seems rather overkill. Aother problem with ADP is that many of their phone numbers go to a Call Center in India where "Annie" answers and when you try to find out if you have the right department "Annie" keeps repeating the name of the department but won't let me explain why I made the call.  When I asked a second time if I had the correct number she just hung up. It's employees like these that give ADP a bad name...fifteen years ago when I started with them they believed in Customer Resolution of Problems now they just have a bunch of Indians who really don't understand English to answer their phones and cause more problems with their attitude than they resolve problems for the company.

Flexible Spending - Commuter Benefits

Because my monthly commute costs more than the maximum IRS amount, ADP would not process my monthly commuter pass without having access to my PERSONAL CREDIT CARD. This is a complete SCAM. Not only did ADP charge my personal credit card, but they also continued to pile up money from my salary. Meanwhile, my local transit authority rejected the ADP credit card every month. The customer service representatives in India are useless. I filed numerous claims by fax (FAX?!), snail mail, and the ADP website. None of the claims were fulfilled. I stopped all pre-tax deductions from my paycheck, but ADP had already amassed more than $500 in salary + charges to my personal credit card. When ADP issued new transit cards at the end of the year, they did not roll over any of my funds.
