ADP sucks
Things break suddenly even though you didn't make any changes from the admin side.
Customer service blows. You can be calling in on the same day, asking the same question and get entirely different answer.
They also outsource their customer service to India and the Philippines who have a really difficult time understanding what you need. It's so frustrating.
They screwed up on our 401k and I had to call them every pay period for an entire year.
Their sales people call you non stop even after you tell them not to call. They all want to stop by your office. There's also a huge turnover in their sales department.
Awful payroll service
My new employer uses ADP for payroll. I logged into ADP using my new employer credentials and I what I got was payroll information for an employer I worked for years ago who also used ADP.
When I contacted ADP they said only my current employer could address the issue. WHAT!!!!! This is ADP's screw-up and has nothing to do with my new employer. I have had exposure to multiple payroll services because of having different jobs and ADP is without exception, the worst!!!
If you are a business looking for help with payroll do not under any circumstances use ADP. You will be sorry and your employees will be angry and resentful to you even though it's ADP's problem
Incompetent or criminal
ADP has garnished wages for child support for 3 pay periods and has yet to release a dime to the state of CT so it can be distributed. Calls to the company go to a call center most likely in India where people can't really help but promise to forward it to someone who can but please wait 48 hrs.
When I call back they tell me the problem has been resolved and the state should receive the money that day but of course it hasn't.
Meanwhile I'm sure ADP is happily collecting interest on money that they are holding illegally. I hope my state takes action against them.
A Terrible Experience with ADP RevenueShare Incentive Program For Accountants (Completely Unprofessional)
Hello,
This message is in reference to a huge issue that our firm currently has with ADP, we entered into an agreement with an ADP representative, in the Miami area, in July of 2017 for the Revenue Share incentive program for accountants.
We were informed that we would receive our first payout in February of 2018 for our referral fees from the clients that we have referred (since July), but we received nothing in February. Then, we were told that the payment would be on May 15 of 2018. The Sales Executive and Sales Rep from our area came today to our office and confirmed that in the worst case we would be paid May 15th and after they left they sent an email stating that it is now too late to process the payment (today 04/03/2018) for May 15th payment and that it should be paid in August 15.
This is completely ridiculous and unprofessional. We have been sending emails to our representative every month since July 2017, to confirm when we would get paid. In February we started to send emails (we have copies of all emails) to him, reminders, phone calls, we even asked them to come here to our office to confirm face to face and they continued saying all the time, that this issue “is going to be resolved soon.”
We are going to escalate this issue to any level it may take until we get paid for all of our business clients that we have referred to ADP, we hope to find an officer in ADP that can help solve this issue, otherwise we will have to sue ADP for breach of contract.

Verified ReviewerHow stupid can they be?
A prospective employer uses ADP for verification of previous employment. So, I get an email on January 25th from ADP, saying they want me to print and fax a release form to run a check on me.
They don't even bother to say why. The next day I get another email from ADP, only this email has no text in it. So I call these people and speak to an agent who tells me who it's for and that they just need to have the signed release. I think, great!
I want this job, so I send the fax that afternoon. On Jan 30th, I get another blank email from ADP, so I call in again. This time they say they need a pay stub before they can process my information. I send the email that day, problem solved.
Or so I thought. Today, February 2nd, ADP calls to complain about my pay stub. The company name is in small print on the bottom, not big 3" tall letters on the top, so they claim they have no idea what company it's from. I finally told the woman "CALL THEM!
IT'S YOUR JOB ISN'T IT?' I worked there for 8 years, it's a 100 year old national chain, and my store is only 20 minutes from the ADP offices.
My name, SSN, employee ID and the corporate phone number are all on the pay stub. Are they intentionally trying to cost me a job, or are they truly just that stupid?

BEWARE
I received two letters of wage garnishment in the mail on April 2, 2018 for 2 accounts that were paid in 2006 & 2007. I called my HR department and was told yes there is a garnishment starting in 2 weeks.
I called these people at ADP and OMG it only gets worse. All they tell you is yes you owe the money and yes wages are garnished and that I should contact the people that filed the complaint for judgement. What a horrible nightmare. How can this company justify doing this??
This has been 12 years since these accounts were paid off in full. !! 12 YEARS. I am off to the court building to get proof of paid accounts.
Then off to attorneys office to make sure my money is replaced. BBB complaint is next.
ADP had no business to do this. And shame on my company for using these people.
STAY AWAY FROM ADP
I am a Controller of the small company that has been using this service for over 18 years. Lately it has become unprofessional and unmanageable.
Last year I was sent an invoice for some amount that I did not recognize. When i called and inquired about it, I found out that it was a penalty fro one of jurisdictions where returns were not filed on time. They had a nerve to bill interest to my account. It was straightened out after conversation with a supervisor.
Late last year m account was levied by another taxing agency that claimed that returns were not filed dating back to 2014. I sent these notices to ADP, has yet to hear back, but called the agency myself to stop charges on my account. This January after receiving W2 form and distributing them to the employees, one of them notified me that his form was incorrect. After reviewing it and all other forms, I discovered that two others were incorrect.
I called ADP on January 25th and notified them of the mistake and asked for the amendments to be filed and for new forms to be issued. I have called two weeks later to find out that nothing have been done. I was assured that amendments would be filed and new forms issued. I received new forms but they were not corrected.
Every time I call I have to listed to the same lies ( I have done payroll and filed all the reports at my previous jobs, I know when they lie) from different people. When asked to speak to the supervisor, I have a feeling I am speaking to the client services representative.
I really want to switch to another service at this point, but first I need to resolve this mess. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM ADP.

Verified Reviewer | Augusta, GeorgiaChild Support Order
Beginning or the year 2018, ex husband's job PACTIV switched over to ADP. I HAVE NOT received a child support payment til this date.
They are taking the garnishment out of his check but not sending the payments to Georgia Dept of children services. This Friday will make the third check I haven't received.
Worst experience ever
I have been getting the run around for days trying to get my money thats on my card they just wont release it so tired of doing there job and getting no results
Terrible
My company used ADP up till half way through 2016. Our new Payroll company sent out W2's in 2017 that included the amounts for when ADP was covering us as a payroll provider.
We told ADP not to send their W2's for 2016 into the IRS as their amounts had already been combined with our new payroll companies W2s, and they did anyway.
Now, we have nearly 1000 employees who have or will receive underpayment/back taxes owed CP2000 notices from the IRS due to ADP's incompetence. I personally received a CP2000 notice for over $2k, and other colleges have them as much as $5k. Because of this we all have to spend countless hours trying to get this resolved, and it's so much fun being on hold with the IRS for hours multiple times a week.
I think it's time to hire an Attorney. Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from ADP.
Don't bank here thiefs
Be carefull with this company. They will take ur money and horrible customer service.
Put u on wait 45 minutes and still talk to you with a attitude.
Hate this company. YOU ARE FIRED
Wost Banking Ever
For some reason, creating an account to transfer my funds was one of the absolute nightmares. I created my security question, but not my password.
The site starts asking for my password, which I have not created. So I hit "forgot password" and it asked me a security question I know 200% I did not select. I even tried the answer I typed in for the security question I thought I used, but to no avail. I called them and it was over an hour back and forth total of three times of resetting my account.
Why do I have to constantly switch between browsers? I have to keep switching between, Chrome, Mozilla, and IE. Mobile app does not work. Its been 4 days and they still will not approve my other account I added to ADP to I can transfer the remaining funds.
I call them and they keep telling me it takes up to three days, when it as been over three days. This bank is is desperately trying to latch on to your money.
I suggest get it all out before they end up filing for bankruptcy. This is the absolutely worst banking experience I have ever had and I cannot wait to transfer and close my account with ADP.
Garnishment
They took a whole check after receiving papers that state they are to take $100.00 a month. and had been only taking the $100.00 a month then all of a sudden they took a whole check, the state law makes what they did very illegal.
And I got well you have to call the unemployment, I asked them why when they are the ones that take the money out and this is their mistake and they said cause you have too.
I told them they have the paperwork that states $100.00 a month so why do i need to call them this is something you all did not unemployment. no response to that.
- Nothing about them
Circus of Anything Goes
I live and work in Texas - ADP, without authorization CHANGED my taxes to Colorado and started taking Colorado State taxes out of my pay check for 2 pay periods. I called to notify ADP that I am NOT in Colorado, nor did I authorize any changes.
ADP changed my tax base back to Texas (no state tax) and called me to say "You will need to file your Federal Taxes to recover the $152 Colorado taxes". WHAT??? So, I guess if ADP inadvertently charged my work-hours to Sally, it would be MY responsibility to get my money from Sally?
Maybe my claim to Texas Labor Board can straighten ADP out on this one - right? Thx, CjB

ADP Benefits Portal auto waived from coverage issue
ADP helpdesk, first claims a life event needs to be confirmed to see the enrollment page. I then point out that in their website, it says that life event reporting is not needed to proceed with enrollment.
He came back 3 (excluding weekend) days later, saying I should've seen the enrollment page regardless if life event was approved... and that I didn't access it, hence I got waived from my coverage. This is a clear contradiction because I need to access enrollment page to waive my self!
I need to know if I'm getting coverage or not because I need to see a doctor. ADP has no accountability, no direct customer service - and is about to get sued if I, God forbid, have to go to the hospital without insurance!
